CHAMPAIGN –  Fighting Illini men's golf will travel to Columbus, Ohio this weekend for the 47th annual Robert Kepler Intercollegiate. Hosted by Ohio State, the 54-hole event will take place at The Ohio State University Golf Club, April 21-22.

Held on the Par 71, 7,455-yard Scarlet Course, the tournament will begin on Saturday with tee times starting at 6:40 a.m. CT. Round two tee times will begin at 12:40 p.m. CT on Saturday as well. Sunday's final round tee times will begin at 7 a.m. CT.

"This is a long-standing tournament in the Big Ten footprint of college golf, and it's played on a great golf course at the Scarlet," head coach Mike Small said. "It's important to us to play well this weekend, leading up to the Big Ten Championship. I'm excited to see how our guys play, and see if we can continue to build on the momentum we built earlier in the month."

The No. 13-ranked Illini will be joined in the field by several Big Ten teams, including No. 40 Penn State, No. 42 Purdue, Iowa, Michigan State, Ohio State, Rutgers and Wisconsin. The tournament field also includes Ball State, Bowling Green, Colgate, Francis Marion, No. 25 Kent State, Miami (OH), Northern Illinois, and Xavier.

Live scoring for the 3M Augusta Invitational will be available on Golfstat, and fans can follow @IlliniMGolf on Twitter for even more live updates. A recap will be posted on FightingIllini.com following each day of play.

The Orange and Blue took home the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate trophy last season, and then-junior Dylan Meyer won individual medalist honors. Five Illini placed among the top 20 at the event last season, including Michael Feagles, Nick Hardy and Giovanni Tadiotto.

Illinois is coming off of a match play victory against Bradley, and has won each of its last two stroke play events. The Illini took home trophies at the 3M Augusta Invitational and the BIGHORN Invitational as well, with senior Dylan Meyer and sophomore Bryan Baumgarten earning individual titles at each of the events, respectively.
