CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -- The University of Illinois Division of Intercollegiate Athletics will sell beer at Illinois Field as part of the Bleacher Bum BBQ game May 4 against Ohio State. The promotion features free Hickory River BBQ for the first 500 fans and postgame fireworks.

Beer will be sold in a tent down the left field line. Entry in the beer sales area will be limited to fans 21 years of age and older and beer will not be allowed outside the fenced tent area.

The event has been a popular date on Illinois' schedule, regularly drawing over 3,000 fans, including an all-time high of 5,214 in 2009.
