Final Results
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The University of Illinois women's gymnastics team scored a 196.625 team score at the 2018 Big Ten Women's Gymnastics Championships at the State Farm Center. Illinois took third place in the competition behind Big Ten Champion, Michigan (197.200) and second-place, Nebraska (196.950).
Senior Bridget Hodan earned the program's eighth Big Ten Beam title on Saturday night. The Brookfield, Wisconsin, native hit a 9.900 on beam to earn a share of individual event title. Sophomore Rae Balthazor and freshman Nicole Biondi competed in the all-around competition and tallied a 39.375 and 39.250, respectively.
Up next, the Illini will learn their placement in an NCAA Regional on Monday afternoon at 3 pm CT. NCAA Regionals will take place on six different campuses on April 7. Â
