Fighting Illini freshman Trent Frazier (Wellington HS, Wellington, Fla.) was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week on Monday. It marks the second time this season Frazier has earned conference freshman honors (Dec. 26).
» Erupted for a career-high 32 points against Wisconsin on Thursday, the most by an Illini freshman in 24 years and the No. 3 all-time scoring mark by a UI freshman in program history
» The 32 points was just two shy of the UI freshman record (34)and is the most by a Big Ten freshman this season
» Drained 10-of-20 from the field, 7-of-11 from three-point range and 5-of-6 from the line against Wisconsin
» The 7 treys vs. the Badgers equal the most ever by an Illini freshman, and are just one shy of the overall school record of 8
