CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Fighting Illini women's basketball and head coach Nancy Fahey announced Thursday the addition of Lyric Robins (Plano, Texas) to the 2017-18 squad. A 5-foot-11 forward, Robins will join the Illini after playing at Plano West High School.

"We are extremely excited about the addition of Lyric to our Illini family," Fahey said. "Her upbeat attitude and positive outlook are contagious, and she possesses a work ethic that will allow her to be successful both in the classroom and on the court.  Lyric's speed and ability to defend multiple positions will be a huge asset to our team."

-Averaged 11.3 points and 7.0 rebounds per game for Plano West in her senior season
