CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Fighting Illini men's tennis head coach Brad Dancer announced on Friday the addition of two student-athletes for the 2018-19 campaign. Lucas Horve and Keenan Mayo each signed national letters of intent to compete for the Orange and Blue.
Lucas Horve

5'9" | Forsyth, Illinois | Laurel Springs High School

- Ranked as high as No. 46 by tennisrecruiting.net
- 2016 Mid-South Player of the Year
- Has earned four sportsmanship awards
- Why Horve chose Illinois: "I have lived close to the school for my whole life and I have always been an Illini fan. The facility is extremely nice and everyone from the coaches to players on the team are good-hearted. It is a very family-like atmosphere."
- Head Coach Brad Dancer: "I can remember seeing Lucas all the way back to when he was 10 years old and hoping this man would become an Illini. He's had a tremendous coaching foundation and is a natural leader and athlete. When he is able to take advantage of our competitive opportunities, his game will blossom."
Keenan Mayo

- Why Mayo chose Illinois: "I chose the University of Illinois because I took a visit and felt like it was the perfect place for me. I got along great with the team and I feel like the coaching staff can really develop me as a player and person."
