CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Illinois women's gymnastics head coach, Nadalie Walsh, announced on Thursday the signing of three gymnasts to National Letters of Intent to compete for the Fighting Illini. Mallory Mizuki, Shaylah Scott and Erin Weisel will join the Orange and Blue for the 2018-19 campaign.
Mallory Mizuki

- 2017 Level 10 National Qualifier
- 2017 Level 10 Regional: 2nd on Vault, 3rd on Beam, 8th in All-Around
- 2015 Region Five All-Star Team
- 2015 Level 10 Nationals: 2nd on Floor, 1st with Team
- 2015 Level 10 Regional: 2nd on Beam, 2nd on Floor, 3rd in All-Around
- Why Mizuki chose Illinois: "The comradery and passion of the team is what drew me to the University of Illinois. I am excited to represent a school with a great academic and athletic reputation. I love the feeling I get every time I am on campus and I can't wait to be an Illini."
- Head Coach Nadalie Walsh: "Some of the things that excite me most about adding Mallory to the team next year is her well-rounded gymnastics, particularly her unique 10.0 start value on vault.
