Illini facing Panthers in Charleston to benefit disaster relief

First-year Illinois head coach Brad Underwood will take his Fighting Illini squad on the road to Charleston, Illinois on Friday, November 3, facing Eastern Illinois in an exhibition game to benefit disaster relief efforts. The game will be played at 7 p.m. at Lantz Arena.

The NCAA has granted Division I college basketball programs a waiver to participate in a third exhibition game if proceeds go toward pre-determined disaster relief. Proceeds from this game will go to the American Red Cross.

Tickets are $10 for general admission seating and will go on sale Monday at 8:30 a.m. Tickets can be purchased online at EIUPantherTickets.com, by calling 217-581-2106, or at the EIU Ticket Office in Lantz Arena.

This will mark the first time in school history that the Illini will play a men's basketball game at Eastern Illinois.
