Big Ten Release
ROSEMONT, Ill.- Fighting Illini senior golfer Dylan Meyer has been named Big Ten Golfer of the Week, as announced today by the league office. The honor marks the first for the Evansville, Indiana, native, this season and the fourth of his career.
Meyer is coming off of an 11-under par performance at the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational, where he helped lead Illinois to a second-place team finish. He fired rounds of 67-66-72 to take the individual tournament title. The performance marks his first individual tournament victory this season and the fifth of his career. Meyer recorded 16 birdies through the tournament, playing 50 of 54 holes holes at or under par.
Meyer and the Illini will close the fall season next week at the East Lake Cup. Held at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, the event will be televised live on the Golf Channel.
