CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Fighting Illini Athletics is excited to announce the pregame concert series – including Jerrod Niemann and Parmalee – that will take place in Grange Grove, free of charge, before football games during the 2016 season.
Jerrod Niemann (Sept. 10)
New country superstar Jerrod Niemann will take the stage inside Grange Grove on Saturday, September 10, at 4:30 p.m. before the Fighting Illini battle North Carolina at 6:30 p.m. A native of Liberal, Kansas, Niemann has produced six Top 40 songs, including No. 1 singles "Lover, Lover" and "Drink to That All Night".
Tickets are available for the game, including the Family 4-Pack, which includes four tickets and $20 in concessions vouchers for only $49.

Parmalee (Oct. 29)
Later in the season, Parmalee will hit the stage prior to the Fighting Illini Homecoming game against Minnesota on October 29. A four-man band from North Carolina, Parmalee's country rock sound has roots in bluegrass, traditional country, southern rock and blues. The concert will begin at 9 a.m. with kickoff slated for 11 a.m.

Grange Grove
Other entertainment options, including local and regional bands, DJs, and student bands will fill out the rest of the Grange Grove pregame lineup this fall. Grange Grove will open on game days at 7 a.m. and live entertainment will begin three hours prior to kickoff for all games.
Similar to 2015, the Family Zone, hospitality tents, student tailgating, and public tailgating will all be available. Once again, all of the activities inside Grange Grove are FREE and open to the public. Fans are encouraged to claim their spots early – Grange Grove will be open on Friday nights before home games from 5-7 p.m. so that fans can claim their tailgating location for gameday.
The Fighting Illini Walk will take place approximately 2.5 hours prior to kickoff through the center of Grange Grove and will be followed by a Marching Illini performance next to the Red Grange statue on the west side of Memorial Stadium.
