The Big Ten office announced the conference schedule Thursday, completing the 2016-17 Fighting Illini men's basketball schedule.

Illinois will open conference play on the road, traveling to Maryland on Dec. 27. The Illini then welcome Ohio State to State Farm Center on New Year's Day.

After a trip to Indiana on Jan. 7, Illinois returns to Champaign for consecutive home games against Michigan on Jan. 11 and Maryland on Saturday, Jan. 14.

The Illini then enter a stretch of three out of four away from home, starting with back-to-back contests at Purdue on Jan. 17 and at Michigan on Jan. 21. Illinois then hosts Iowa on Jan. 25 before traveling to Penn State on Jan. 28.

Illinois will host three of the next four games, beginning with a two-game homestand against Wisconsin on Jan. 31 and Minnesota on Saturday, Feb. 4. Following a trip to Northwestern on Feb. 7, the Orange and Blue are back in Champaign to face Penn State on Saturday, Feb. 11.

Following a bye, Illinois' conference slate concludes with alternating road and home games. The Orange and Blue are at Iowa on Feb. 18 before hosting Northwestern on Feb. 21. Next up is a visit to Nebraska on Feb. 26.

Senior Night at State Farm Center is set for March 1 when the Illini take on Michigan State. The UI concludes the regular season at Rutgers on March 4.

The Big Ten Tournament will be held March 8-12 at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C.
