ROMEOVILLE, Ill. -Â With three rounds of 69 (-3) at the 22nd Annual Phil Kosin Illinois Women's Open, Fighting Illini senior golfer Stephanie Miller took home the event's top spot. Miller finished 9-under par with a final reading of 207. A total of eight current and former Illini team members competed at the event, with six finishing in the top 15 at the Mistwood Golf Club.
Ember Schuldt joined Miller in the top five with a final tally of 214 (-2). Bing Singhsumalee finished in sixth place with an even-par score of 216. Former Illini Samantha Postillion and incoming freshman Swing Liu each claimed a share of ninth place with a score of 219 (+3). Dana Gattone grabbed a T-14 finish with a final score of 221 (+5). Katherine Hepler finished in 29th while Pailin Ruttanasupagid also competed at the three-day outing.
The eight Illini competing registered a combined 12 rounds at or below par across the event.Â
