Sedlock Named Big Ten Pitcher of the Week

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Cody Sedlock was named Big Ten Pitcher of the Week after throwing one of the most dominant pitching performances in Illinois history. Sedlock struck out 14 Ohio State batters in 10.2 innings, the longest outing in Division I this season, during a 1-0 win in 15 innings Friday night.

"That's what all the hours in the weight room and conditioning in the offseason in the winter, waking up at 6 a.m. three times a week, that's what that's for," said Sedlock. "I'm in the best shape of my life and built to go like that."

Sedlock was also among Collegiate Baseball's list of seven National Players of the Week.
