Hello Illini Fans!

The team just got back from Louisville, Kentucky, playing at the University of Louisville Golf Club. The team was pretty familiar with this course because we played here last year and Tristyn, our freshman, also played this course from junior golf tournaments. During the practice round, we made sure we got comfortable on the greens and around the greens because they were rolling very well. Following the practice round, we enjoyed a yummy Italian pasta dinner at the course!

Sunday was the first day of the tournament and we were all very excited to start off the last tournament of our fall season strong. Personally, I made sure to stay committed and stick to my process to make sure I can play my very best. As a team, we positioned ourselves in 4th place out of 17 teams which put us at a good place to make a move for the following two days. After the round, we enjoyed dinner and entertainment, which featured a magic show performed by David Gerard. He definitely had me surprised with some of the tricks that were not even up his sleeves!!

The second day of the tournament, we all took in all that we learned from the first day and definitely improved not only our process and level of commitment, but our scores as well! We were still in 4th out of 17 teams, but we knew we had what it took to move up the leaderboard. Following the round, we enjoyed a sushi hibachi dinner! Our team loves food but definitely a team favorite would be sushi!

The final round of the tournament we all made sure that we stuck to our process. Especially with it being the final round of our fall season we wanted to end on a high note. Throughout the round, we all kept our energy up helping each other to keep positive, and to give it our all 'till the very end! We finished 4th out of 17 teams. We all had some solid rounds and know what we need to work on during the offseason in preparation for the spring season! Overall, we enjoyed a pretty successful fall season and are all very excited for the future successes to come in the spring!!
