  1. Illinois won its second straight game against a top-25 opponent at State Farm Center. The Illini beat No. 11 Maryland, 64-57, at State Farm Center Jan. 7, 2015 in its last home game against a top-25 team. The Illini snapped a three-game losing streak against top-25 opponents, all away from home.
  2. Illinois shot season-best marks of .542 from the field (26-48) and .529 from three-point range (9-17). The Illini added 23 points from the line on 28 attempts for a .821 free-throw percentage.
  3. Illinois scored more points (84) and had a better shooting percentage (.542) against Purdue than any Boilermaker opponent this season. Purdue entered the game leading the country in field goal percentage defense (.350) and ranked seventh in scoring defense (59.8). Vermont's 79 points on .482 shooting percentage were the previous bests against Purdue. No team had shot better than 50% against Purdue in its last 37 games.
  4. Purdue had a season-low 31 rebounds and a season-high 28 fouls. The Boilermakers' one block was its second-lowest total this season (0 at Pittsburgh).
  5. Illinois made its first four shots of the second half, including three three-pointers, to open the half on a 14-4 run in the first 2:48 and take a 49-39 lead that it would not relinquish. The game was tied 35-35 at halftime.
  6. Illinois led for 33:51, while Purdue led for 1:43. Purdue led for just 19 seconds of the final 37:11 after scoring the game's first five points.
  7. Illinois handed Purdue its first "true" road loss of the season, dropping the Boilermakers to 2-1 in away contests. Purdue was one of 14 teams nationally to be undefeated through two "true" road games this season.
  8. Illinois had four players hit two or more three-pointers for the third time this season (vs. Missouri, vs. South Dakota).
  9. Illinois has made 9+ three-pointers in six of its last seven games, including 9-of-17 (.529) from three-point range today.

  14. Hill scored 20+ points for the eighth time this season on 9-of-15 shooting and 10-of-14 from the free-throw line. He has scored in double digits every game during the 2015-16 campaign.
  15. Hill, a 6-foot-6 guard, tied for the game-high with eight rebounds along with Purdue's 7-foot center A.J. Hammons.
  16. Kendrick Nunn scored 20+ points for the fourth time this season, going for 22 points on 8-of-12 shooting. Nunn is averaging 19.7 points per game in three Big Ten games.
  17. ­­Jalen Coleman-Lands has scored in double figures in nine of his first 17 career games after scoring 10 tonight.
