Programming in Grange Grove will start at 11:30 am for the Big Ten opener. Entertainment will include an inflatables area with an obstacle course, bounce house, and slide, face painting, and live music from local band Brushville. Fans are encouraged to line the brick path through Grange Grove for the Fighting Illini Walk at 12:30.
Fighting Illini Athletics is also excited to announce that country music star Rodney Atkins will be performing at Grange Grove for the Homecoming football game versus Wisconsin starting at 11:30 am on Saturday, October 24.
IN-GAME ADDITIONS
As an exciting addition to celebrate the opening of Big Ten Conference play, skydivers from Team Fastrax will land on the field at Memorial Stadium before kickoff (weather permitting). Fans are encouraged to be in their seats before 2:40 pm to see the landing.
The Nebraska marching band will perform at the beginning of halftime, followed by the traditional Marching Illini performance.
As always, fans can post their gameday pictures to Twitter and/or Instagram using #Illini for the chance to be shown on the videoboard throughout the day.
