CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – With the constantly expanding landscape of social media, the Illinois men's gymnastics team is excited to announce its 2015-16 social media attack strategy. Every day of the week will feature a different theme that will continue on a weekly cycle through the end of the season. Content will be posted on a variety of platforms including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, so make sure to follow the team on each.

Storyline Sunday
An insight to the side of gymnastics that the average person has never experience before! Learn why the team uses honey on the parallel bars, the story behind the team's uniform numbers, program traditions such as bowing upon entry to the training gym and much more. Followers can expect both a video and photo on Storyline Sundays.
Muscle Monday
Every Monday will begin with both a picture and quick video for "Muscle Monday" where a team member will be featured in their training attire showing off their best flex. Despite the brief footage, viewers can expect to learn a bit about each guy's personality.
Trick Tuesday
Tuesdays will feature a unique take on a gymnast's routine; viewers will be able to see it from the athlete's perspective thanks to a camera chest strap and mountable recorder. Early in the season, Tuesdays will be simpler moves and the difficulty will progress as the season does. Routines from all six events will be filmed throughout the season.
Wipeout Wednesday
Wipeout Wednesdays are back this season! The team puts countless hours into perfecting a routine, but sometimes "growing pains" are encountered along the way. After making sure everyone is okay, the best wipeout videos will be posted for everyone's enjoyment.
Interview Thursday
Every Thursday, a video interview will be posted with a coach or athlete. Video topics will vary from Coach Spring's favorite part of coaching to who the best-dressed guy on the team is. Produced by Fighting Illini Productions, these interviews will help anyone, gymnastics newbie or #1 fan, to learn more about this year's Fighting Illini unit.
Freshman/Caption It Friday
The first five Fridays of the season will highlight the program's five newcomers this year. After the freshmen have all been introduced, Fridays will switch to pictures that have the potential for creative, yet humorous captions for everyone's enjoyment, so be sure to comment!
Recap Saturday
On Saturdays, a social media recap will be posted on FIGHTINGILLINI.com. The contents will include each day's post from the previous week, all in one spot.
