Champaign, Ill. - Former Illinois Men's Golfers stole the show at the 2015 John Deere Classic this weekend. Luke Guthrie spent some time at the top of the leaderboard during the four-day tournament held at TPC Deer Run in Silvis, Ill. Guthrie led the Illini in the tournament as he shot 14-under par for a top-15 finish. Thre-time John Deere Classic Champion, Steve Stricker, joined Scott Langley in a tie for 35th as the two shot 9-under par. Langley finished strong with a 5-under par final round tally. Both Brian Campbell and D.A. Points appeared in the tournament as well, Points wiht a score 1-under par before the cut.
Guthrie had a large following on Friday's "Illini Day" at the John Deere Classic. Illini fans sported their Illini Orange in full force out on the course.

Stricker started the JDC out on a high note for the Illini, he opened play with a 6-under par 71.

Scott Langley shot his best round on the final day of play to also finish among the top-40.
