1. With the win, Illinois won the 2014 Continental Tire Las Vegas Invitational, the Illini's ninth Exempt/MTE tournament title since 2001.
2. Senior guard Rayvonte Rice (19.0 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 4.0 spg in tourney) took home tournament MVP honors, while senior center Nnanna Egwu (7.0 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 1.5 bpg) and sophomore guard Malcolm Hill (17.0 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 14-15 FT) each were named the All-Tournament Team.
3. Illinois improved to 6-0 on the season, marking the fourth-straight season that the Illini have started the season with at least six straight wins. The Illini started 10-0 in 2011-12, 13-0 in 2012-13 and 7-0 in 2013-14.
4. Illinois improved its current winning streak in the month of November to 32 games, marking the longest active streak in the country in the opening month of the season. The Illini also are 21-0 in the month of November under head coach John Groce.
