The Fighting Illini women's track and field team traveled to Fayetteville, Ark. to compete in the Tyson Invitational on Friday. Senior Yvonne Mensah placed second in the women's long jump with a season and career best 20'05.75".

Also excelling for the Illini was sophomore Omoye Ugiagbe in the 400m, posting a season best time of 55.38. Following close behind Ugiagbe was senior Camile Robinson, coming in at 55.80.

"It was a good day for Yvonne and Omoye," head coach Gary Winkler said. "They had season and career bests today, and we're excited to continue competing tomorrow."

The Illini will resume competition at the Tyson Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 10. A recap and complete results will be available on fightingillini.com following the conclusion of the meet.
