  1. Tonight's victory was Illinois' 100th over Ohio State in the series, improving Illinois' record to 100-59 all-time against the Buckeyes and 58-21 in games played in Champaign.
  2. Illinois' win improves its season record to 15-0, the third-best start in school history. The 15-0 mark was also accomplished by Lou Henson's 1978-79 squad. After tonight's action, the Illini are one of only four undefeated teams in the nation.
  3. With its first Big Ten win of the 2005 campaign, Illinois improves its conference winning streak to 11 games. The Illini swept the final 10 league games of 2004 on their way to an undisputed conference championship.
  4. Illinois continued its dominance in the sea of orange at Assembly Hall. The Illini are now 58-2 at home in the last four-plus years.
  5. With his 13 points on the night, Dee Brown moves to 34th on the all-time scoring list. Brown passes Paul Judson and now has 1,023 points for his career.
  6. James Augustine collected his second double-double of the season, scoring 21 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. He has 12 double-doubles for his career. The 21 points tied a career high (21 vs. Memphis, 12/13/03).
  7. Roger Powell scored his 900th career point with his fifth point of the night. Powell finished with 12 points for the game and now has 907 for his career.
  8. Three Illini continue their climb through the Illinois Top 50 career scoring list. Brown's 1,023 career points place him 34th on the list, Powell and Head are both tied for 47th on the list, with 907.
  9. Tonight Illinois scored 84 points on 49.2 percent shooting (32-for-65). This is par for the course this season for the Illini, who average 50.8 percent (465-915), which ranks eighth in the nation. In the first half, Illinois shot 56.3 percent (18-for-32) and scored 46 points. For the season, the Illini average 53.3 percent shooting and 46.3 points in the first half.
  10. The Illini trailed Ohio State for 7:11 of the first half, but then gained control for a lead the entire second period. It was the first time Illinois has fallen behind in a game since Georgetown on Dec. 9, 2004. The Illinois total for time trailed is 28:43 out of 600 minutes played.
  11. The Illini recorded its 14th double-digit win in 15 games played. Entering tonight's game Illinois ranked 15th in the nation in scoring margin and added a 19-point win to the stats (84-65).
  12. Once again the Illini were unselfish with the basketball, recording assists on 17-of-32 field goals (.531). For the year, Illinois is credited with assists on 65.8 percent of is made shots (306-465).
  13. Four Illini starters scored in double digits tonight (Augustine, 21; Williams, 14; Brown, 13; Powell, 12), for the 11th time this season out of 15 games.
