Illinois' women's basketball team jumped out to a 10-2 lead and was never seriously threatened tonight, defeating Central Michigan 82-44 at the Assembly Hall in front of 1,346 fans. The game, which saw every Illinois player who played score, marked head coach Theresa Grentz's 900th career game on the sidelines.

Seniors Tiffanie Guthrie and Angelina Williams each scored 14 points to lead four Illini in double figures in the Fighting Illini's most balanced scoring effort of the season. The Orange and Blue were on fire in the first half, shooting 72 percent on 21-of-29 shooting while racing out to a 52-25 halftime lead. The Illini shot 57 percent for the game (35-61).

Freshman Danyel Crutcher had a career-high 13 points to go along with six rebounds while junior Janelle Hughes netted 12 points, for her fourth consecutive double-digit performance.

This was Illinois' final tune-up before the Big Ten season, which opens Thursday on the road against Michigan.
